OUR STORY

Last summer, Our beloved Kwame Williams was gunned down in his hometown only three minutes away from his Grandpa's house. So many people turn to a life of crime because of financial struggles, and innocent kids are constantly being murdered on the streets. Our family has always been staunch advocates against gun violence in our community through our uplifting messages and working with non-profit organizations. Although we've always been very community-oriented, we noticed that spreading messages of nonviolence in our music and productions only did so much, so we created a program, "Alliance FidiYute,” to get young people involved in the arts. Like Kwame, many kids lack finances for school fees, books, and uniforms, forcing them to work after middle school while submerging them into a life of hustle. Gun violence stems from the lack of supported programs in communities around Belize. We're developing after-school enrichment programs focusing on academics, sports, and the arts, providing students with more opportunities to be successful. We've visited primary and high schools around Belize, spreading unity messages while distributing school supplies and books. Although Kwame's life was cut short, his memory will live on through "Alliance FidiYute" as we take steps toward gun violence prevention through the arts.

OUR MISSION

Alliance Fidiyute is a grassroot organization enriched with programs designed to shape and unite younger generations of students. Alliance Fidiyute stands against social justice issues that have been detrimental to the safety and well being of people. We actively unite against gun violence, sexual assault, discrimination, inequality in the work force and police brutality. Our programs strive to provide students and young adults with outlets to get acclimated and involved in their communities. We will teach and inform others on the problematic issues we have faced as a country and the ways to actively stand against these issues.
